Brianna has a robust and varied legal background that helps her clients to understand nuanced and technical areas of Family Law. Prior to joining JORGESON PITTMAN LLP, Brianna worked for several years with the international law firm Shearman & Sterling, LLP, spending time in both the Litigation and Real Estate practice groups.
During her time with Shearman & Sterling, LLP, Brianna drafted robust deal documents, performed commercial due diligence, participated in negotiation calls with clients and opposing counsel, and pursued pro bono opportunities in legal representation for unaccompanied minor children facing immigration removal proceedings.
In addition to her legal advocacy, Brianna has experience earned through internship programs during her legal education with The Coalition for Juvenile Justice, the law firm of Zerbe, Miller, Fingeret, Frank, & Jadav, LLP, and the United States Department of Justice. These internships provided Brianna with experience drafting policy update briefs, leading round table discussions with community stakeholders, performing contract due diligence, and extensive legal research and writing.
Brianna's legal and educational background is an asset to her clients, and she effectively uses her education and experience to help achieve favorable outcomes for her clients.
Brianna was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. After Brianna obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, she spent two years in Dallas, Texas, as a 7th-grade mathematics teacher through the Teach for America program. She then went to Washington, D.C., to attend American University Washington College of Law, where she continued her passion for working with people as a student attorney with the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Brianna is excited to spend time exploring Austin with her dog and supporting the Texas Longhorns (so long as they are not playing her Florida Gators!)
