Before joining JORGESON PITTMAN LLP, Teresa gained practical experience in criminal defense and employment/labor law, where she developed skills in legal research, litigation support, and client communication.
Her varied background gives her a well-rounded perspective and a deep respect for the personal nature of family law. Teresa approaches each case with compassion and attention to detail, working to ensure her clients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the legal process.
Teresa earned her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she refined her legal writing and advocacy skills through rigorous coursework and practical experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, a field of study that first sparked her interest in law and the justice system.
Licensed to practice in Texas, Teresa is dedicated to providing her clients with honest, strategic, and empathetic representation throughout every stage of their case.
Teresa was born in Killeen, Texas, at Fort Hood military base and was raised in both Dallas, Texas, and Scottsdale, Arizona. Growing up in a military family taught her the value of resilience, adaptability, and service to others—values that continue to shape her work as an attorney and her commitment to helping families through some of life’s most difficult transitions.
Outside of the office, Teresa enjoys anything that gets her outdoors and keeps her active. She shares most of her adventures with Nova, her high-energy, slightly wild dog who keeps life interesting and never lets a day go by without a good dose of chaos, laughter, and secondhand embarrassment. Teresa deeply values time spent with her family, especially her twin sister, who is her other half and someone she truly couldn’t imagine life without.
